You currently live in Brighton, what was the main deciding factor in moving there?

After uni, I took up a job offer (to escape going home) as an air hostess for Virgin Atlantic. I trained new Gatwick and in those days all the trainees would party in Brighton. I was hooked and instantly rented a house in Hove with two other hosties... and I stayed.

What is your favourite thing about the seaside city?

It's ever such a transient community, most who live there aren't from Brighton. And as a native to the North, it's quite appealing to me to not feel like too much of an outsider. All are welcomed and no one is judged. Plus I'm permanently in i'm-on-holiday mode because it's so far removed from my inner-city upbringing in Manchester.

Are there any hidden shopping gems?

There's something magical about exploring the Brighton Lanes:

Tribeca on Bond St in the North Laines was voted by the Telegraph as one of the top 50 best boutiques outside of London and stocks familiar labels like Marant and Margiela plus plenty of emerging fashion brands worth uncovering.

For homewares, the simplicity of Workshop Living is a scandi-lovers dream.

And if you fancy heading along the beach to Hove, have a peek inside I-gigi boutique. It's a curated fashion/living emporium with an upstairs cafe serving the best welsh rarebit of all time.

Describe your personal shopping style in 3 words?

Informed, experimental, expensive

What is your accessories style - statement/chunky or minimalist/delicate? Gold, silver, rose, or a mix of all three?

I'm innately lazy and will veer towards more obvious/statement pieces that don't require too much thought. The Radial cuff is a classic example, so simple and such an impact. As for metals, anything goes, I've just purchased a rose gold watch, and i'm currently eyeing up the Issa cuff to match.

If you could reside in any city in the world, where would it be?

I play this game with my husband. We start off in New York, an apartment somewhere near the high line - mojito's on the balcony. But invariably decide we need more sun and shuffle to Los Angeles. Runyon Canyon hikes, cortado's at Alfred's and green juices on the reg.
