Women for Women International have worked in Rwanda since 1997, offering women the chance to regain control of their lives. In the aftermath of the devastating Genocide in 1994, women stepped forward to help create peace.

Assisting them in understanding and defending their own rights, Women for Women International have so far supported more than 76,000 women in Rwanda through the year-long programme. 

Donations from this year's sales of the Fearless Necklace go directly to supporting one women in particular; Marie Gorette Yangiriye, who through a year-long training programme will gain a marketable job skill, practical knowledge about her health and rights, and the confidence to make her voice heard at home and in her community.
